Winner of the Westmorland Landscape Prize

I’m thrilled to announce that I have been awarded the First Prize for ‘Packwood Fragment 14’ one of my series of prints based on images of a Topiary garden at Packwood House, Warwickshire.
The Westmorland Landscape Prize is a brand new exhibition and art prize that celebrates and interrogates our relationship with the landscape. Selected from over 1000 entries from across the UK the exhibition consists of work by 70 artists chosen by Cherie Federico, Editor of Aesthetica Magazine; Anne Desmet RA, Artist and Royal Academician; and Hazel Stone, Arts Development Manager for Forestry England. The panel were looking for work which reaches beyond the aesthetic, stimulating thinking and debate about the way in which we exist alongside, as part of, or sometimes in spite of our landscape. I still can’t believe I was shortlisted for this prize, let alone winning it! You can see the exhibition at the Rheged Centre, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 0DQ  until 10th November.
